Recently, a semi‑gantry crane manufactured by Henan Feima Lifting Machinery Group Co., Ltd. has completed on‑site installation and commissioning and has been officially put into service at the customer’s plant.

A semi‑gantry crane travels on the ground using a single side’s legs, while the other side is supported by the building’s column brackets or walls, eliminating the need for a full‑length track system. By making full use of the existing building structure, this design significantly reduces the scope of civil‑engineering work required for the track, making it particularly well suited for areas around the perimeter of the plant and at indoor–outdoor transition zones. It also creates seamless material‑handling pathways between workshop interiors and exteriors, resulting in far higher space utilization than conventional all‑gantry cranes. Compared with a full‑gantry crane, it requires shorter track lengths and less foundation work; moreover, by leveraging the existing building structure to share the load, it lowers foundation‑construction costs. This solution effectively controls initial capital expenditures in both new‑plant projects and retrofits of existing facilities, delivering outstanding overall cost‑effectiveness.
